‘K-FLEX’, Korea’s first flexible endoscopic surgery robot developed by KAIST Future Medical Robotics Group (Director: Prof. Kwon Dong-soo), won the Best Application Award and the entire championship prize at ‘Surgical Robot Challenge 2018’ hosted by Hamlyn Center, Imperial College London, UK on June 29, Netherlands, Switzerland, and other robots in the surgical robots. K-FLEX will perform precise and agile surgical operations with the aid of two surgical tools, a flexible over-tube, and an ergonomic design that are freely movable in the surgical robot demonstration on Sunday, June 24 It is possible to apply it to actual operation. ‘Surgical Robot Challenge’ is a contest to compete innovative ideas of robot technology applicable to surgery.
